On of the quickest way to play easy golf is to just SLOW down. Most golfers swing to quickly and too hard. How do you expect to hit it straight if you are not in timed with the shaft? Slow down the swing! Another thing to immediatedly improve is to get a softer shaft. Why try to swing a stiff shaft when you can get distance with a regular shaft. Go to a softer golf ball and swing easily! Another easy method to try is to go down the shaft. Again the same results, hit is just as far just easier. At the practice range, try keeping the feet together and swing easy and you will find out just how easy it is to longer and straighter. Try IT!
On the outset, the hardest thing to realize is just how does one control the ball? Believe it or not, the simple way is just do not swing hard. Most new players want to hit is as far as what they see the pros don on TV. It's possible but most once a week golfer can't. If you can just control the shaft, you'll control the flight of the ball.
